Music they say is food for the soul. It is also a source of entertainment. Music they say heals and many people have attested to that fact. It is also a business venture that can be explored and when done properly can bring in revenue. For you to be successful in music, you must have the talent and also the necessary support to make it. Without the support of the industry players, your talent will go no where.
It is a fact that our Nigerian brothers are doing better at the business side of music than us. They are able to market their music very well to the outside world. Their music have received worldwide acclaim than ours. It is because they now how to conduct the music business and have invested heavily in it.
But the narrative is changing. Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kwaku Frimpong known by the stage name Black Sherif has taken over the music scene by storm. His emergence and subsequent dominance is surprising a lot of pundits. His music style is very unique and infectious. Until his release of 1st sermon and the subsequent release of the 2nd sermon, he was unknown in the industry. It is the release of the 1st and 2nd sermon that prompted us about his unique talent and we were forced to go and look for his other songs. This guy is going places. His second sermon remix with Burna Boy has pushed him into global dominance. Everyone is now talking about Black Sherif.
Everyone thought that this guy will not last and there is nothing more to come from him. Then he blew our minds by releasing 'Kwaku the traveller' that is dominating music charts all over the world. This song has topped the apple music chart in Nigeria which no Ghanaian artist has done before. I have also heard that Davido wants to do a remix of this song with him. This guy is only going to get better. Let us all support him to succeed.
