Yesterday, October 6, 2021, the Director of Communications at the Jubilee House, Mr. Eugene Arhin issued a statement to inform Ghanaians on the extension of leave for Honourable Adwoa Safo. The statement indicated that, the Minister had sought leave of absence for personal reasons but failed to report to office after the deadline. This development has sparked debate among Ghanaians on social media.
The host of the Onua Maakye show, Yaa Titi has angrily descended on the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya constituency, Honourable Sarah Adwoa Safo. She has called on President Akuffo-Addo to dismiss her from office because she has failed woefully in her position as a Minister.
Yaa Titi has replaced Captain Smart as the host of the show after Captain Smart's absence this week. On the Rant version of the show, she exposed Adwoa Safo over her absence. She has boldly registered her disappointment over the recent conduct of the Minister. According to her, the Ministry has failed to make any impact in the lives of Ghanaians and should be closed.
Speaking further, Yaa Titi alleged that the reason for Honourable Adwoa Safo's absence is because she is angry over a decision Akuffo-Addo has made. She alleged that President Akuffo-Addo has reappointed someonee who was dismissed by Adwoa Safo.
She said, "Adwoa Safo is angry at Akuffo-Addo because he has reinstated someone she sacked. Akuffo-Addo has reinstated the school feeding coordinator and that has made Adwoa Safo angry. She is trying to tell the President to dismiss her again."
She added, "Ghanaians have not seen anything you are doing at your ministry. You cannot dictate for the President to follow. Ghanaians are disappointed because they do not even know the mandate of your Ministry. The President must sack you if you are not ready to work."
