Business woman and television personality, Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay in showbiz circles caused a stir in her program, ‘The Delay Show’ whiles interviewing budding music act Dhat Gyal.
The young singer, a few years back caught the attention of many Ghanaians with her unique voice in the many covers of original songs. Many touted her as the one to replace Ebony Reigns after her demise.
However, years went by and nothing was heard from her again. It was as though she had fizzled out. Because she was not established and attention was not too much on her, the strange absence did not cause people to look for her whereabouts.
It recently emerged from a radio interview that she had fallen into bad company and was deep into drug abuse. She revealed that, the loss of her mother coupled with bad company led her into depression. Many people who did not know about her plight showed sympathy.
It was on the back of this that Delay invited her to the show. As the 22-year old singer narrated her story and bad times she fell in, including being raped, it became obvious Delay was becoming emotional.
She told the singer of how she could identify with some of the challenges she went through. She however could not hold back her emotions as she broke down and cried whiles advising the young lady who also could not hold back her tears, to desist from any vice that could harm her in life.
