Ghanaians are serious music lovers. They like their Highlife, Hiplife and all other types of music. The energy and passion with which they patronize music is the same way they follow the talents or artistes who churn out these songs. But as is a common parlance, they ‘don’t play like that’ when it seems they are being stretched.
Highlife and Afropop singer Kidi is very much loved in the country because of the quality of music he produces. As a matter of fact, the young man has produced many beautiful tunes which are played across the country and even beyond.
Last year for instance was a very great year for him for which reason many people thought he even deserved to be the artiste of the year. There was therefore a massive reaction when he did not win. That is the level of love people have for him.
The singer has however seemingly courted the displeasure of many Ghanaians after a flier of a show he was about to play came out. It indicated how much the tickets were going for.
Some of the tickets went for as high as Ghc 15000 cedis which many people on social media felt was too much.
Here are some of the funny response he got from social media users after the prices came out. Needless to say, some of the tweets were just funny.
