Clemento Suarez affirmed himself as the best comedian in Ghana

Clement Ashiteye known as Clemento Suarez, is a Ghanaian comedian and actor.Clemento Suarez was born in Tema; his father is Victor Tetteh of Teshie. He had his primary education at Vichrist Parents' School, Bethel Junior High School, and went on to Tema Secondary School. His tertiary education was at the School of Performing Arts at the University of Ghana in Legon where he graduated in 2010.

After studying the industry, Clemento Suarez started his profession career in 2011 by doing unpaid work. He later decided to become a professional comedian. Clemento has worked with creative directors such as Latif Abubakar, and has featured in the Ghanaian TV series Kejetia vs Makola. He co-hosted the third edition of the 3Music Awards with O. B. Amponsah which was the first virtual award concert organized in Ghana during lock-down period because of COVID-19.

However, comedian/actor Clemento Suarez, prefers to go the route of humility. Clemento, who recently got married to his long time girlfriend, has risen through the ranks to become one of the most popular faces on the comedy circuit but says he will not count himself out the top three comedians in Ghana.

In an interview on the Delay show, Clemento told host Deloris Frimpong Manso that he believes there are no other comedians who are doing better than him.

“If Ghanaians would rate me among the top three it is fine because I am among the top three if I am asked to.

"You see the industry is such that when you are fortunate to be in the limelight, you are seen as the best, but then for us who are in the circles, we know that people are working,” he explained.
