Actor John Kofi Setor Dumelo contested for the first for a Member of Parliament in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the just end December 7 general elections.
However, the handsome looking actor unfortunately lost the Ayawaso seat to the incumbent Member of Parliament Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan of the New Patriotic Party(NPP). Madam Lydia Alhassan (NPP) had 39,851 votes whereas John Dumelo (NDC) also accumulated 37,778, giving him a margin of only 2,073 votes.
John Dumelo's beautiful wife, Mrs. Gifty Dumelo who played very instrumental role in his campaigns in the Constituency took to her social media page for the first time after the election to pen down a congratulatory and an inspiring message to her husband on his achievement.
Mrs. Dumelo posted on her social media page an adorable photo of them and followed it with her write up. She wrote "Babe @johndumelo1 congratulations on such a spectacular performance and making history in Ayawaso west. For a first time contender in an NPP stronghold and closing the gap by such a margin, wooow!!! you have really raised the status quo and you know that, you deserve a standing ovation"
The exquisite looking wife of the actor went further to inject some words of encouragement into her husband when she wrote "So babe dust off and move with your head so high like a king and a leader that Uve been ordained to be. You are an inspiration to many and your hard work and determination is apparent to all" She concluded by making to her husband that he is a winner and will always be.
