She grew up with her grandmother in Akosombo as her mum lived in Nigeria. Though things were not all rosy, her grandmother did her best in her upbringing. She attended Akosombo Experimental and had always loved Entertainment/Concert whiles in school. She ended her education at Form 4 at the time to pursue her dream of playing at Concerts. She was always willing to serve in any capacity (sweeping, cleaning etc) just to get to sit at the front row seat at concerts and get the chance to pursue her dream. She even lost one of her children back home while away on tour.
She joined and played with bands and legends to include A. B Crentsil, Akwasi Ampofo Adjei and others travelling across the country. She also worked with Abibiman Concert group and Ominitimininim Concert Group which was headed by Bob Santo and Abusuapanin Judas. She later worked with Santo and Judas on most projects and tours as she recounted on the Delay Show how Santo helped her to secure jobs and insisted to producers to add her whenever he (Santo) was hired just to carry them along and to help her fulfill her dream and advance her career in entertainment.
Auntie B worked with known film producers like Harry Laud, Danfo BA, Socrates Safo, Samuel Nyamekye of Miracle Films having starred in hit movies like Marijata, That Day and many others.
She became more popular on the hit tv show "EfieWura", one of the longest running series on television with the memorable character name Auntie B which stuck with many who refer to her by that name.
Auntie B revealed that she never married Bob Santo though she was in a relationship with him for six years. This was contrary to the already held speculation she was his last wife. She had 2 children prior to meeting late Bob Santo but the eldest is late leaving her with her 2nd child (daughter).
She fellowships with Annointed Palace Chapel (APC) headed by Rev Obofour.
Here's to celebrating Auntie B whiles she is here with us for her contribution to entertainment in Ghana.
