Jim Iyke and Co’s company ANEL outdoors their brainchild The Resident Afrika reality show

Nollywood’s A-list actor and one of the iconic faces of African cinema, Jim Iyke together with some key industry players are set to present Africa to the world. With their company Africa Network Entertainment Limited (ANEL), they have presented a new reality show that will start airing in 2022.

About a few weeks ago, the actor was travelling all over Africa. He was in Ghana last week granting interviews on almost top media houses in the country. Eventually, he has revealed the motive for his tour.

The guest editor of the reality show has 24 contestants coming from 12 African countries for 70 days. That means every country will present 2 contestants. According to him, it took a whole 2 years, travelling to Kigali – Rwanda, Accra-Ghana, Johannesburg – SA, to and from Nigeria countless times to bring this concept to fruition.

Sharing the news, Jim Iyke stated that The Resident Afrika “The first of its kind. The quest edition. Drawn from 12 countries of Africa. A reality show designed by Africans for Africans.”

Briefly, Africa Network Entertainment Limited offer services that align with producing and exporting African entertainment content from Africa, by Africans to the world. Jim Iyke – Vice Chairman and Kelechi Freeman Ukadike – Chairman set up ANEL to showcase African talent and promote African youths and entertainment. Their passion to serve is borne from the need to foster greater and closer relationships between and among African countries by exploring the beauty in our diverse cultural heritage, talent, and resources in order to further brighten Africa’s light on the global stage.
