Check the Impacts of Wiyaala to the music industry that deserve to be in 2021 "VGMA" Nominees

Wiyaala is an independent musician entertainer from Funsi in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Fiercely self-reliant and proud, Wiyaala is also known as the "Young Lioness of Africa". Her music references West African Folk traditions with contemporary Afro-Pop.

She won the Vodafone Icons Reality Show in 2012, Since being discovered by Rita Ray of BBC global beat in 2014, Wiyaala has emerged as one of Ghana’s leading personalties and international touring artists representing Ghana Africa at prestigious events, media and festivals all over the world, including the Commonwealth Games 2018 in Australia, The African Union in Addis Ababa, WOMAD UK, Green Man, Kendal Calling, Shambala and the Timitar Festival in Morocco etc.

In 2014 Wiyaala was the first female Ghanaian artist to chart on billboard since Osibisa in the 1970's with her 2014 FIFA World Cup Song "Go Go Black Stars". She has almost 1_2 albums which is "Wiyaala" in 2014 and "Sissala Goddess" in 2108 with and recently album named "Yaga Yaga" in 2021. Wiyaala is also a member of the international female group GRRRL.

She is well known for promoting her African village roots, where she frequently holds festivals and events encouraging the local children to develop their creativity and sense of self-worth. She has contribute massively in the music industry which need to be nominated for some category. She is very energetic woman who is so passionate when its come to music but its seems the industry is not recognized her effort. There are also female Musicians who also contribute alot like sherifa Gunu, Sister Affia, Wendy shy, Eno Barony, Mvz Vee, Adina etc some of them get nomination but other don't and more of the male get nominated but there is a saying that, what man can do a woman can do better.

Although I don't know their style of selection, but I think the award team is not been fair to the women's in the industry. what do you also think about the industry the way they treat the females artist. Please like, share and also comments your opinion.
