With Kumkum Bhagya completing 7 long years, here’s why we think the show should go off-air and return with a prequel instead.
Kumkum bhagya has been entertaining us for seven years now. The show first began airing on April 15, 2015, and has been entertaining its fans ever since. While Abhi (Shabir Ahluwalia) and Pragya (Sriti Jha) have kept us occupied with their dramatic lives and romance, of course, we often find ourselves wondering if the show should end now. These characters have probably experienced all the emotions and have seen it all. While we would like to see it end, we’d also request makers to plan a prequel around it. A prequel around Pragya’s early life and Abhi’s rockstar days would be an interesting watch, we feel.
The series started as the story of Pragya, Bulbul and their mother Sarla Arora's hope to see them married. Later, the show revolved around Abhi and Pragya. On March 18, 2019, after Abhi and Pragya's separation, a twenty-year leap was introduced. Post-leap, Mugdha Chaphekar and Naina Singh (later replaced by Pooja Banerjee) were introduced as Abhi and Pragya's separated twin daughters, Prachi Mehra and Rhea Mehra.
