Sad news we getting confirms the passing away of a legend in the Ghana Music Industry, Nana Kwame Ampadu. He is pioneer in the Ghana Music Industry and helped established the Ghanaian Genre Hi-Life. He is considered as the king of Ghana Music and is also regarded as the the Ghanaian artiste with most Albums in the history of Ghana Music.
Nana Kwame Ampadu was born on 31st March, 1945 at OBO - Kwahu in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He has over 800 songs to his credit and has mentored a lot of Musicians in Ghana. He was the founder of the African Brothers Band in 1963 together with Eddie Donkor.
He is reported to have died this morning around 5am in a hospital at East legon. He has battled with some disease for a while but couldn’t make it. May his soul Rest In Peace, ha has really paid his dues to the music industry.
