One outstanding winner has been the beautiful and brilliant quiz mistress, Elsie Effah Kaufmann.
Elsie Effah Kaufmann is a Ghanaian biomedical engineer, a lecturer and the famous quiz mistress of the National Science and Maths Quiz. She had a senior high school at Aburi Girls’- She further proceeded to the University of Pennsylvania for her Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE), a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) and PhD in Biomedical Engineering. As a Scholar, she has earned lots of educational and social awards; she was awarded in 2009, as the University of Ghana's Best Teacher Award for the Sciences. She was exclusively the quiz mistress of the NSMQ from 2006 till date. After inheriting the seat from the first ever quiz mistress Marian Ewurama Addy(1993-2000) and Eureka Emefa Adomako(2001-2005); She(Elsie Effah Kaufmann is the longest quiz mistress of the NSMQ).
