Solicitor, Barista and Founder Of the Danquah Institute has revealed his position on IMF Bailouts stating categorically he is by principle not against IMF programs but he is against the conditions that comes with their bailouts.
He has been trending throughout the day because of the revelations he made about the E-Levy not yielding the expected outcome. He further posed a question of whether that can be an option for the nation in a post on Twitter.
However, Mr Gabby Otchere Darko has indicated that does not support IMF bailout that comes with conditions. He said they give small amounts of money with strict conditions. He noted "Am I against an IMF program in principle? No."
According to Gabby Otchere Darko, I am not for an "IMF program that throws peanuts at us but imposes conditions that will end up hurting the poor, jobs and businesses more. Covid-19 and War in Ukraine are not of Africa’s doing but more to our doom. A program that pretends it is all our doing is doomed to fail," he said
Gabby suggested that the country has to initiate immediate interventions that can help us rise above the current situation. He believe Ghana can do. He stated "We do something that will inject confidence in our capacity to ride this heavy storm and that something should happen pretty quickly."
