In East Mamprusi, elephants killed a farmer with three wives and 13 children.

Elephants invading the Yankazia settlement in the East Mamprusi Municipality of the North East Region murdered a farmer.

According to a National Disaster Management Organization report, three elephants were crossing the street when two people on motorcycles collided with them, and the creatures attacked and killed one person.

The elephants invaded three additional settlements, Soanvusi, Nasuan, and Tuna, on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, after fully killing and mutilating the farmer's body.

The body of the dead has been sent to Gbentiri for burial. Three spouses, eight boys, and five girls were left behind by the departed.

With the assistance of a medical officer from the Baptist Medical Center in Nalerigu, police officers from the Gambaga District have initiated an inquiry into the occurrence.

This had caused a lot of of worrying by the people living in the community and they wish proper security should be provided so that such incident do not happen again.
