Almost every home in Ghana has the Ghanaian pestle and mortar for pounding fufu. Fufu is one of the favorite local dishes eaten by almost every Ghanaian. The Ashantis, Fantes, and Akyem like it more than any other tribe in Ghana because it is one of their indigenous food.
There may be some White people who might have been taught how to prepare fufu and soup. This is because there is inter-marriage between Ghanaians and other internationals. But what some Ghanaians do not understand is what this young Whiteman is going to do with the pestle.
Looking at the picture above, the Whiteman was holding his luggage including our pestle. Some Ghanaians who saw this on Facebook said that the mortar might be in his bag. They were questioning what he is going to do with our pestle in his country.
Maybe he has tasted our fufu and he cannot resist it so he is going to continue eating it in his country. Nana Aba Anamoah who posted, asked, "What is he going to do with our pestle?". And so Ghanaians said that he is going to rebrand it and come and sell it to us.
Check out some comments below:
A Facebook user know as Jay Whytte said that "So you think this white man doesn’t know neat fufu, hmmm we don’t cherish what we have until it’s taken away from us".
Another Facebook user known as Bra Charles also said that "But on the more serious note let us realize this: Why did they do a fufu pounding machine for us but he came here and left with our local pounding equipment? Have you thought of that?"
Joshua Tetteh added that "The first Whiteman to carry W)ma to KOTOKA airport in the history of Ghana. He is Jacob Mason from West Virginia".
