Ghanaian female musician with both female and male organs"/>A hermaphrodite is an organism that has both types of reproductive organs and can produce gametes associated with both male and female sexes. Many animal taxonomic groups do not have separate sexes.
Lawrencia Lamptey, better known as Labena, a Ghanaian musician, has spoken out about her hermaphrodite condition. In an interview with ZionFelix on the 'Uncut' Show, the young lady shared her story. She stated that she possesses both female and male reproductive organs.
Labena recalled realizing her condition when she was between the ages of ten (10) and eleven (11) years old. At this age, the male organ, according to her, became visible.
When she was younger, other children in her neighborhood teased her about her condition, according to Labena. After questioning her parents about why she has such features, the aspiring musician stated that she has accepted that this is how she was created uniquely. She didn't feel at ease at first, according to her.
