Oldest Harbour in Keta that has become a Death Trap for Users, Citizens cry for help

The people of Woe, a suburb of Anloga District district has drawn the attention of the authorities as a matter of urgency to fix the sole lagoon fishing habour which is collapsing at a faster rate for them , hence it is possing a serious risk to users.

In 2007 , Former President John Kuffor officially open the habour for commercial use for the people of Woe and its environs including towns like Tegbi, Anloga, Keta and other towns that surrounds the Lagoon both far and near .

However , this initiative was not regreted at all, people from far and near brought their goods, that is various kinds of fish from far and near to be patronised at the harbour. There are always ready market for fisherfolks whenever they are back from fishing. Frankly, buying and selling goes on absolutely well there and is also one of tourist attraction in the town.

But unfortuanately, there was not any sort of proper maintenance work on the habour from the authorities. Currently , it is becoming a death trap for those who patronise the habour for living meanwhile its the source of food , income and tourist attraction for most the the people surrounding it including visitors.

Fisherfolks , Traders and others who patronised the habour are calling on the authorities to fix the situation as soon as possible before it is washed away totally.
