Hawa Koomson, the member of parliament for Awutu Senya East has taken the decision to protect the country and all that is about promoting the economic growth of this country.
Hawa Koomson has survived all the bullies as a female in the mens political arena and this is all due to her hard work and extraordinary skills. For a person who do not have the highest level of education, it is a good thing to know or see about her.
Hawa Koomson is one of the ministers of state and has shown her commitment and her abilities as a minister. Because she is the minister in charge of fisheries, she has ensured that the fishing departments in the country are properly managed.
Hawa Koomson visited Nyanyano last week Saturday and spoke with the chiefs on what to do and how it should be done. Hawa Koomson demanded that the beaches should be kept as clean and preserved as it could be.
During this meeting, Hawa Koomson was ready to help the community with all the necessary supports they needed. However, it seems this fell on deaf ears. Improper fishing practices had earlier led to the loss of two teenage lives and this is why she went to speak to them to avoid future deaths.
Hawa Koomson stormed the Nyanyano town this afternoon to battle the chiefs on the need to adhere to strict rules that have been set or provided to protect the lives and safety of the citizens.
The chiefs have allowed some teenagers to go to sea and engage in the fishing activities even though they are not properly guided and seem unfit to battle heavy sea waves and other dangers.
The Nyanyano traditional council have agreed to set rules and regulations that will help to reduce the rate of teenage deaths and young boys who go to the sea with their masters but do not make it back.
She also alerted them on a possible closure of fishing activities for sometime if any issues that demanded the closure popped up. Hawa Koomson angrily descended on them for making certain decisions and not entirely listening to her advice earlier.
