According to Nana Yaw Gyimah, Joynews correspondent this evening, the management of the Ashanti regional-based Radio Station has complied with the order of the traditional council of Kumasi to halt operations until further notice.

The politician didn't mince words when he called out chiefs of Manhyia, the highest seat of the Ashanti Kingdom to as a matter of urgency come out and deny any involvement with the illegal mining which has gone on for a while now.
He added that this menace which destroys water bodies and the forest is still ongoing despite the dangers it poses to the environment.
The chiefs who got wind of the issue acted traditionally by banishing him and seizing his lands as well. In addition, the management of the media house was summoned and they appeared before the council.
