Illegal mining operation have destroyed almost all our water bodies in Ghana. Our famous and beautiful rivers have been polluted all in the name of mining for gold. And we cannot blame anybody else but ourselves for engaging in such sinful and unpatriotic activities.
What surprises me more is that some people and supporting this betrayal of our land by saying that some people in this country risks their lives by engaging in Galamsey because there are no jobs in the country.
Some people blame the government for not creating more jobs which can help divert the activities of these illegal miners. But all I can say is that, this is not the time for blame games, we as citizens should do our best to save our land,l water bodies and our farms from these ungodly activities.
The most saddest thing is that all of us will suffer if our waters and farms are destroyed.
Below are some pictures of our water bodies that have been destroyed by illegal miners.
And below are some of the things these miners do that pollutes our rivers
Do what you can as a patriot to help end illegal mining in our country. Stay safe.
