Meet Rani, The Smallest Cow In The World

People have been flocking to one ranch in Bangladesh to see a famous creature, a dwarf cow named Rani. The 25 year old heifer weighs 28 kg and is 23 months old.

Despite the covid restrictions, more than 15,000 people have reportedly visited Rani at his residence in Charigram, near the city of Dhaka. The head of the farm, Hasan Howladar, has asked for Rani's recognition in the Guinness Book record, saying Rani is the smallest cow in the world.

"I have never seen anything like it in my life," guest Rina Begum said. Many people have come to see Rani at a zoo near the capital Dhaka. Mr Howladar bought Rani last year on a farm northwest of Naogaon district.

He said the cow was afraid of other cows on the Shikor Agro farm, so he had been separating him from other cows. "It's very bad. He eats a small amount of grass twice a day," said Mr. Howladar.

"It likes to go around outside and it seems happy when we carry her." The record for the youngest cow was held by Manikyam, in India, measuring with a height of 61.1 centimeters from the level of the hoof to the top.

Mr Howladar told the BBC that investigators from the Guinness Book of Records would visit his farm this year to see if Rani would take the crown.
