Very Sad; Chinese are doing Galamsey under the sea- Manoma fisherman

Mining is activity that is undertaken with or without state permission, in particular in absence of land rights, licenses, and exploration or mineral transportation permits. On an international level, approximately 80 percent of small-scale mining operations can be categorized as illegal.

Normally we know that mining or Galamsey is done on the land and Fishing is done by recreational fishermen usually fish either from a boat or from a shoreline or river bank. When fishing from a boat, or fishing vessel, most fishing techniques can be used, from nets to fish traps, but some form of angling is by far the most common.

While there is increasing of Galamsey in our land, that we are fighting now, there is being a report from Critical issue program which is on Utv by Afia Pokua, According to Manoma who is work on fishery said there is also a mining activities going on under the sea with some Chinese men and Ghanaian. He added because of that, there is low income of fish or reduction of fish in the sea and if we didn't take care, by sometimes to come we will not get fish again.

People even call Utv to confirmed that, what the man was saying is true and they know where the activities is going on. Monama go ahead give credit to Hon. Hawa koosom about the step she was taking but he pleaded with her not to be influence by other and fight against the problems.
