

Atiwa forest present a perfect beauty with sustenance to the people living in the Eastern Part of Ghana, a place where almost every tree and plants serves as food and medicine, a home where different kinds of wild animals can be found in the green forest.
Atiwa forest is a blessing nature has bestowed on our beloved country Ghana, however, many do not see it as such and has started sacrificing their cocoa farms in the green forest for illegal mining of gold.
Osino is a community rich in gold, If you visit Osino,Dwenase , Abompe , the agricultural land, green forest and water bodies have all been destroyed by illegal miners. Mining illegally in the Atiwa forest without the necessary authorization from the relevant authorities, destroys the green forest,diverte,pollute the water bodies and the arable agriculture land.
Farmers especially cocoa farming there are selling their cocoa farm to the illegal miners, gradually we are destroying the Atiwa forest.
