According to Kwame Baffoe also known as Abronye DC, the Bono regional chairman and communicator for the New Patriotic Party, NPP, he is not pleased with illegal mining known as galamsey because he drinks the water supplied by Ghana Water Company.
Yesterday evening, he said on the “Nsempa fie” show hosted by Wontumi tv that, he is not happy about the leaders are treating these galamsey issues because the water bodies, where Ghana water company pumps water from have become contaminated with Mercury and Cyanide.
He said that he is not happy about the fact that the minister in charge of that sector is not doing his job well but is telling Ghanaians and the president that, galamsey is being controlled.
He concluded that the citizens of Ghana living in the urban areas should also add their voices to the fight against galamsey and not think that they are not affected by it because their waters have been heavily polluted with chemical and must be worried about their sources of water.
Do you agree with the comments made by Abronye DC over the effects of illegal mining known as galamsey?
