Speaking to his people during a communal labor where residents joined him to clean the Dormaa township, Nana Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu said that anyone who will be found culpable of engaging in Galamsey activities will be severely punished.
He stated categorically that if anyone think he is a man enough to ignore his warnings and engage in Galamsey activities in the Dormaa township and it's surrounding villages, whatever happens to such person, he cannot be blamed.
According to him, he will ensure that he preserve the land for his people to cultivate their farm produce. He will ensure that the land is allowed to fallow well for his residents to harvest bountifully at the end of the season.
He said at the appropriate time, when all things are in place, government will ensure that he provide all the necessary equipments for the people to mine the resources legally without any worries but if anyone dares go to do illegal mining, he has himself to be blamed.
