The Assin Fosu Municipal environmental Officer Mr. Emmanuel Agyare has urged the residents of Assin Municipality to blame the zoomlion for the poor sanitation condition engulfing the various communities within the area.
He said their sole responsibility is to supervise and monitor the work of the zoomlion workers and write a report about where there is a shortfall.
He said his outfit doesn’t have access to the logistics which are used for cleaning the refuse and also conveying the waste bins and containers to their final disposal site, not even the human resource.
It has all been entrusted in the hands of the zoomlion therefore they are not to be blamed when waste bins and containers are overflowing and causing hazards to human lives in town. Adding that, the zoomlion and the Assembly is rather shirking their responsibilities.
Meanwhile, the Zoomlion Supervisor for the Assin Fosu Municipality, Mr. George Bismark Arhin admitted the awkward situation of the abundant filth in the area and further push the blame on the Municipal for their reluctance to help with logistics to work effectively.
Meanwhile, some of the residents and traders also angrily express their ordeal.
