Body odor in general can be a thing to battle if care is not taken. This can embarrassing odor is caused by Apocrine glands, the glands that work primarily under stress, secreting an odorless fluid. This fluid begins to develop an odor when it comes into contact with bacteria on your skin. These glands don't start working until puberty, which is why that's usually the time we start to notice body odor. But the good news is, you can get rid of this odor with some natural ingredients found in the kitchen. Below is the list of ingredients that can get rid of body or armpit odor for good.

1. Baking soda:

Mix about 1/4 tsp. baking soda with a small amount of lukewarm water in a bowl until it forms a paste. Apply the paste to your underarms, gently patting it onto your skin with your fingertips. Make sure the paste is completely dry before getting dressed. Also, Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda and lemon each to make a paste. Scrub it over your underarms for about 5 minutes, wash it off using lukewarm water, and finish up by moisturizing your skin. Repeat this method 3 or 4 times a week for effective results.

2. Apple cider vinegar:

What to do: Mix equal parts water and Apple Cider Vinegar in a bowl. Soak 2 cotton pads and apply onto each underarm like a sheet mask. Leave on for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with water water. Apple cider vinegar is a favorite of DIY deodorant makers because it's an antiseptic—one of the same reasons that it's one of the natural ingredients that clear zits fast.

3. Witch hazel:

Witch hazel is another great remedy that works as a natural antiperspirant. It has astringent and antibacterial properties (7). It can help lower the pH of your skin, thereby killing the odor-causing bacteria and combating underarm odor

4. Lemon juice:

Because lemon juice acts as a great antiseptic, it helps in getting rid of odor-causing bacteria. You could rub the juice from one half of a lemon on your underarms or, if you have sensitive skin, dilute it in water before before using for a great result.

5. Tomatoes:

Like witch hazel, tomato juice acts as an astringent that will reduce body odor. You can rub tomato juice under your arms before or during your shower, or you could drink one to two glasses daily to reduce the odor.
