The red carpet of the 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was a sight to behold. Comparing fashion statements made by artistes both on the red carpet and on stage drum a specific rhythm inti the ears of Ghanaians: “ WANNA CELEBS NO DEY PLAYYYY”
Below are certain fashion statements worth our admiration:
- Berla Mundi #VGMA22
Her fashion statements braided with her eloquence definitely reverberated into the consciousness of Ghanaians that she indeed deserved the mantle of hosting the annual Awards ceremony for 4 memorable times. She graced the night in splendor with her golden plaited designs. And with eloquence, she certainly proved to her sponsors that she was the right man for the job!...Kudos Berla! The world is yours.
His style was unique. He effortlessly made a statement within the two nights the awards ceremony was hosted. The royal blue Asante Cloth woven with a touch of tiger skin signified power and wealth. For a globally recognized show where everyone streamed, Okyeame Kwame certainly deserves some accolades for putting Ghana on the map through his well delivered fashion choice
Although others may have a bone to pick with him for his choice of statement, I personally beg to differ. Considering his ability to own the royal regalia with ease and succinctly drumming to Ghanaians within and outside the spheres of the country that he was the MADE IN GHANA ambassador, we surely made no wrong choice by putting him at #2. The rap doctor proved to Ghanaians that he was evergreen both in fashion and delivery in performance.
#3 Sika Osei
Taking us back to Ancient Medieval times with the gloves and silk but taking into consideration the contemporary times we’re in is Sika Osei, co-host of the 22nd edition of the VGMAs. Her management definitely did a great job with her style both nights.
#4 Cina Soul
The musician did not only bless Ghanaians with her vocals that night. But then again, she drove into the consciousness of Ghanaians that she was up for the game!
Although he failed to win in the ultimate category within which he was nominated, many agree that Kidi was the MAN OF THE NIGHT. From the smooth vocals he released on stage to the awards he swept and then to his Golden boy Fashion statement he made, we cannot help but congratulate his command throughout the show. SOLID GUY!
#6 Nana Ama McBrown
Versatility is the noun which succinctly captures the persona of award winning actress Nana Ama McBrown. She wholly commanded the show on Day one of the awards night. Although it was not a show for movie actors, the actress effortlessly rocked the program rightly to its best.
This look was simple but owned a smell of expensiveness. Just like the old prom ways, Camidoh brought a sense of command and control on his look for the awards ceremony.
#8 Hajia 4reall
Say Whaatttt???? The badder than hitmaker certainly came in style and decency for the awards. We look forward to the awards she’s yet to bag!
#9 Salma Mumin
#10 Mr. Drew
