Ban on Marwako Fast Food, East Legon and Abelemkpe Branches Lifted By FDA.

Marwako fast food is a company that operates in the hospitality industry. The Food and Drugs Authority has issued a statement lifting the ban on their East Legon and Abelemkpe branches.

The Food and Drugs Authority after having broader consultations with the management of Marwako has lifted the ban on some of their branches. A statement from FDA reads "The Food and Drugs Authority notifies the public that it has lifted the suspension of catering activities at the East Legon and Abelemkpe branches of Marwako". Also, the La branch still remains closed at the moment with the Spintex branch undergoing some processes.

Background

In some time past, people who visited some of Marwako restaurants in Accra complained about food poisoning. Many according to reports were admitted to the hospital. This lead to the FDA carrying out investigations into the matter. The investigations lead to the closure of many branches.
