Would You Like To Try Something New And Natural? Make Your Own Lamougin


Lamougin" is a famous beverage which originated from the Northern part of Ghana.lt aslo known as Hausa beer.lt is typically produced using a grain ,such as millet or sorghum and rice.It gas a hot nutty flavor that recognizes from different beverages.Some folks add peanuts to make it more tastier .is appropriate for all occasions and periods of time. Growing up, it was one of my favorite savory drinks, and I've always wanted to learn how to make it. However, instead of rice, I'm going to use millet in this recipe.


Follow along with me as I take you through this recipe step by step.

Complementary Ingredients

2cups of millet


1 tbsp of ginger

Cloves(peppre)


2litres of water

Complementary Ingredients

2cups of millet

1 tbsp of ginger


Cloves(peppre)



2litres of water


1 tbsp sugar


Vanilla extract (optional)


             Instructions

- Soak the millet in water for 24 hours to soften the seeds.



 -Using a strainer, remove the water from the millet.

 -Pour the millet, cloves, and ginger into a blender then add a little water and blend till smooth.



 -Using a sifter, extract the juice from the mixed mixture.Add sugar and stir.


 -ladle out in a glass filled with ice cubes and enjoy.


Lamougin Drink Has Some Health Advantages

1. Lamougin has a wide variety of nutritional benefits since the millet used contains lignam, a polynutrient with anti-cancer properties that is often effective in the treatment of heart infections.

2.With the aid of the ginger ingredient in it, it can also help with stomach related issues including nausea, lack of appetite, and movement problems.

 3.Millet is high in potassium, a mineral that helps the kidneys and heart stay healthy. Potassium also helps the brain and muscles interact by transmitting nerve signals.


4. Vitamin A, B, phosphorus, potassium, iron, calcium, and antioxidants are all abundant in it.

 5.Cloves have been shown to have antimicrobial properties, which means they can help stop bacteria from growing.

6.Millet is high in niacin, an antioxidant that aids in the regulation of over 400 enzyme reactions in the body. Niacin is also essential for maintaining healthy skin and organ function. 

7.  It helps in chronic indigestion   which is characterized by recurrent pain and discomfort in the upper stomach. Ginger can help with this. Indigestion is thought to be caused in part by delayed stomach emptying. Surprisingly, ginger has been found to hasten stomach emptying.

8.Cloves are high in fiber, vitamins, and minerals, so adding whole or ground cloves to your food can provide some essential nutrients.

One teaspoon (2 grams) of ground cloves contains 


- Calories: 6.

-Carbohydrates:1gram.

-Fiber: 1 gram.

-Manganese accounts for 55%of the daily value.

-Vitamin K: 2% of the daily value (DV).
