Fufu is a local food eaten by some countries in West Africa. In addition to Ghana, it is also found in Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia, Cote D'Ivoire, Benin, Togo, Nigeria, both Congos, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Angola and Gabon.
But to see a white man eating it means that he/she learn this delicacy from West Africa. A Whiteman, probably a Chinese man has been captured pounding fufu in Ghana and this has caused a lot of people to mock him.
According to them, how he holds the pestle shows as if he wants to hit the Ghanaian woman with it. Normally, the pestle is held in a perpendicular position and only directed towards the boiled cassava in the mortar.
But this Chinese man directs the pestle to the woman before he directs it to the boiled cassava. Checking the reaction of the lady directing the fufu in the mortar she was very afraid that the Chinese guy will hit her hand with the pestle.
This propelled some Ghanaians to say that the Chinese guy is disgracing himself with the way he is holding the mortar and pounding the fufu. You could see the Ghanaians around seriously laughing at him. Some Ghanaians these Chinese people want to copy everything we do in Ghana here.
Check out some of the reactions from some Ghanaians below:
