The Food and Drugs Authority(FDA) has begun an investigation in samples of the most popular indomie flavor(the chicken flavor) after the product recall checkup in some African countries including Kenya and a complete band of importation of this product brand in Rwanda.

A piece of information from the regulatory agency indicated that it had taken notice of the recall in the other African countries on the alleged presence of some high levels of aflatoxins and pesticides which are harmful to our health in the product. It noted that Indomie Instant Chicken Noodles with "Ladha Ya Kuku" on the label was not a registered product in Ghana. Which is highly illegal in the country.

According to the FDA, statements said that the only Chicken flavor noodle registered in Ghana was manufactured locally and occasionally imported from Nigeria, whiles testing for aflatoxins and pesticide residues is given before market authorization.
