Akple is a popular Ghanaian food common among the people of Ewes. It is made of corn flour, cassava flour, salt and water. It is consumed without using utensils. Akple is rolled into a ball shape and best served with okro soup, fish, chicken and 'wele'. In fact, akple is a very soft food hence digests quickly so can be eaten anytime of the day. One needs to eat about 2-3 balls of it to get satisfied. It has so many health benefits hence most Ghanaians like this dish.
