How to make the perfect Bissap drink (Sobolo)

Bissap drink (Sobolo) is a known beverage in Ghana and West Africa on the loose. 

Sobolo is set up with Hibiscus leaf and seasoned with natural products. 


2 cups Hibiscus leaves 

1 medium-sized riped Pineapple 

2 tbsp Pineapple syrup 

1/2 cup sugar 


3 grains of Hwentia 

1 piece Prekese 


In an enormous pan, pour in Hisbicus leaves and add water to conceal leaves. 

Under high warmth, put Hisbicus leaves ablaze. 

Wash and strip pineapples and ginger. 

Add the pineapple strips and hwentia to Hibiscus leaves. Permit it to bubble for 10-15 mins (Until water changes tone) 

Utilizing a strainer or colander, channel and separate the beverage from the cooked leaves and strips. 

Mix pineapple and ginger until smooth. Fill the sobolo drink and mix 

Permit the beverage to chill off totally before you add your sugar and pineapple syrup (whenever liked) 

Store in ice chest before use or add ice to sobolo drink. Appreciate.
