Do You Like Plantains ? Check Out Recipe For This Homemade Mashed Plantains

Other tribes, especially the Akans, now observe the "Ga -Adangme" or "Ga"Outdooring Naming Ceremony and or 8th Day Abrahamic Circumcision. It's worth noting that the Ga -"Adangme" or "Ga" holy" Oto" cuisine comes in two varieties: mashed yam and mashed plantain.Plantains are beneficial to digestive health for two reasons. To begin with, the resistant starch functions as a prebiotic, encouraging the growth of beneficial bacteria in the colon. Secondly,plantains are high in fiber, which helps with bowel function. Small changes can make a big difference in one's health. To maintain a healthy immune system, for example, only tiny amounts of certain vitamins and minerals are required. Plantains are a good source of vitamin C, vitamin B6, and magnesium, all of which are vital micronutrients. Researchers aren't sure if consuming these nutrients as pills will provide the same level of protection.

Today, I have chosen to show you how to make "Oto" from riped plantain. Let us begin by making a list of everything we'll need.


Ripped plantains

Roasted groundnuts

Palm oil



Smoked salmon (optional)

Boiled eggs

Salted fish


Bring the plantain to a boil after peeling it and cutting it into pieces. Season with salt to taste.

Cook the peppers and onions together, then add the roasted groundnuts and crush again

Grill the salted fish until it has a smokey flavor, then add it to the mixture.

Toss in the boiling plantain slices and mash everything together.

Over medium heat, heat the palm oil with the chopped onions and evenly mix in the mashed plantains.

Serve with a boiled egg, slices of avocado, and roasted groundnuts as garnish.
