How to make coconut oil for personal use from the comfort of your home

Coconut oil is an edible oil extracted from the kernel or meat of mature coconuts harvested from the coconut palm. It has various applications. And many economic importance as well.  

Because of its high saturated fat content, it is slow to oxidizing, thus, lasting up to six months at 24 °C without spoiling.

Items needed for the production of coconut oil includes; 

1- 5 to 6 Coconut which will serve as our main coconut oil

2- A sieve which you will use to filter the oil from the filtrate

3- A cooking pot which you will use to preserve the coconut before finally frying it

4- A deep frying pan which you will use to fry the coconut extraction

5- A grater which you will use grate the coconut

6- A bowl

7- A metal spoon sieve

How to prepare

Wash your coconuts very well and use a hard object to break them into two equal halve each and place them on a table, get a knife to remove the main coconut from the shell or you can just use the hand grater to grate it directly into a bowl.

Now soak it in water and stair very well with your hands and use your sieve to sieve out the leaving just the milk. 

Pour the milk content in a bowl and store it over night. 

Use your spoon to remove the milky contend suspended on top the next day and make sure your spoon is a sieve like so you don't fetch it along side the water under.

It is time to start frying, so what you will do now is to pour the extracted coconut milk into the frying pan and place on the fire and begin to fry, fry it for like 1 hour or until turn brown.

Let it cool a bit so it don't have to burn anything, Now Your coconut oil is fully ready, use your metal sieve to strain the oil and turn it into a container
