Just In: Akufo Addo’s Agenda 111 Was A Deception – Dr. Thomas Anaba Reveals In An Interview.

The former Medical Director of Ridge Hospital, Dr. Thomas Anaba has come out to reveal the proposed medical project code-named ‘Agenda 111 by Nana Akufo Addo was a deception.

In an interview with Okatakyia Afrifa, Dr. Anaba spoke on health issues and made it clear that the 'Agenda 111' project was to deceive Ghanaians.

You may probably often notice that there are people who like to be smarter than everyone else because they know that there are people who will believe and give them support, even though they are far from the truth.

It didn’t make sense to me either, when Ghana’s president, Nana Akufo Addo, abandoned every uncompleted project, including health, education, and housing units, left by the former NDC government and later comes out with a project plan named ‘Agenda 111,’ claiming to build hospitals.

More confusing and challenging is, knowing perfectly well that Nana Akufo Addo has cut several sods across the country and even broken down houses of judges and a hospital serving the La, Teshie, and Nugua residents two years ago and ignored to put up those projects.

According to Dr. Anaba from the very day the ‘Agenda 111,’ was announced, he told Ghanaians that it was a deception that will never work because they are not ready to build any hospitals.

It wasn’t only Dr. Anana who doubted the president’s capability of executing those projects, the majority of Ghanaians that have lost hope in the president called his decision an empty talk.

It will be recalled that shortly after the announcement of ‘Agenda 111,’ by the NPP government, many took to social media to express their disbelief on hearing that Nana Akufo Addo will build 111 hospitals.

On the same doubt, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, told the president, “Ghanaians doubt ‘Agenda 111’, prove them wrong.” How convincing Nana Akufo Addo can build 111 hospitals when his Finance Minister says Ghana is broke.

Moreover, there are several sods cut by the president two or three years ago that projects haven't been touched.

It’s very sad to say that some of the best Ghanaian journalists that would have been beneficial to the country have been silenced by President Akufo Addo, using appointments as bait to avoid criticizing his government.

Do you see what often leads to the decay of society? Thus; these journalists are doing more harm to Ghana than good.

No wonder Akufo Addo has failed as a leader because of his cunning attitude to enjoy a free unquestionable lifestyle.

Choosing an easy lifestyle comes with a cost. That heavy cost by appointing his relative, Ken Ofori-Atta as the Finance Minister, and Gloria Akuffo, as the Chief Justice, then after, Kwasi Anin-Yeboah, to continue his dirty works, is what the NPP government is paying for today.

When Akufo Addo was spending Ghana's money recklessly by hiring a luxurious private jet that was affecting the country financially, he refused to listen to the advice of everyone, including the Member of Parliament, Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa.

I can remember one of those who defended the actions of the president was Kennedy Agyapong. However, today that Ghana has been run down by corruption, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and Ken Ofori-Atta want the Members of Parliament, including the minority, to cut their pay.

That is life, whatever goes around will always come around. Will the NPP government be angry or agree with the minority if they refuse to cut their pay?

Ghanaians must stop politicizing things affecting Ghana with NPP and NDC issues because when the country is better, it benefits everyone. I am writing against Akufo Addo daily not because I hate him but because of the love, I have for Ghana.

I have lived in Europe for so long that it breaks my heart to see that the politics in my country, Ghana, is not even suitable for animals in Europe because animals have decent hospital (Veterinary) facilities and ambulances, yet many hospitals in Ghana lack better health facilities and beds.

Even schools for children lack tables and chairs, yet Ghana is among the leading countries in West Africa when it comes to the production of gold, timber, diamond, cocoa, etc.

"Don't care where you come from

As long as you're a black man

You're an African."

"No mind your nationality

You have got the identity of an African."

That is part of the lyrics of the great Jamaican reggae star, Peter Tosh, song called "African". Even though when I die in Belgium, I will still get people to bury me but since I am an African, I love my country, Ghana.
