Foods that helps improve your brain and memory functions.

The brain is the major component of our body. It controls all our body functions so if it fails the body can't function fully. Which means we must be very careful with what we eat it really affect us.

This article contains foods that contain major nutrients that will protect the brain and also improve it functions.

1. Fatty fish: fatty fish like salmon, sardines and others are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. The brain uses omega-3 to build it nerve cells. About 60% of the brain is fats which contains omega-3. So lack of this will will go a long way to affect you. Omega-3 protect the memory against decline and also sharpens the memory for learning.

2. Dark chocolate: Dark chocolate contains flavonoids, antioxidant and caffeine which protect the brain and also boost memory and mood alertness. Eating dark chocolate every day is good and advisable thing to do.

Oranges: Eating one orange in a day is enough to provide you with enough vitamin c that the body and the brain needs. Vitamin c protects the brain from declining.

3. Eggs: Eggs contains choline, folate vitamins B6 and B12 which helps the to develop and function properly. Daily intake of eggs is very useful to the brain.

4. Turmeric: turmeric contain strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds that helps the brains and also ease's depression and it symptoms. Try eating dishes made with turmeric like turmeric tea to help your brain function well.

Broccoli: broccoli contains vitamin k and other antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds that protect the brain from damaging. Few studies proves that daily intake of vitamin k leads to a better memory.

Foods like nuts, berries, coffee and green tea also helps the brain development and functions.
