Balloon flower, (Platycodon grandiflorus), also called Chinese bellflower, perennial flowering plant of the bellflower family (Campanulaceae), native to East Asia

The health benefits of balloon flower include its ability to treat respiratory ailments, reduce pain, soothe the digestive tract, reduce the risk of certain types of cancer, reduce the severity of allergic reactions, boost the immune system, and eliminate parasites

Balloon flower tea is used internally in the treatment of coughs with profuse phlegm, colds, bronchitis, pleurisy, pulmonary abscesses and throat infections. Its roots are used to treat sore throat, cough and other respiratory disorders. Liver flukes are best cured by using balloon flower.

These beautiful flowers can grow from six inches to up to three feet in height. In some parts of Asia, Platycodon grandiflorus is grown as an edible plant. Its roots are widely used as edible root vegetables and it is referred to as doraji (Korean).

And part of the problem is that they are deer-resistant, drought-resistant, and generally pest free but the worst part is that balloon flowers have long, large tap roots. Breaking off the stem just encourages more stems to grow from the root.

Refreshing naturally caffeine free blend of pure bellflower & ginger for delicately pungent & aromatic drink. The unique, delicate yet pungent scent of ginger and the aromatic notes of bellflower. Zero calorie drink to soothe your sore throat.
