Technological advancement is getting more intriguing as renovative products keep on revolutionized the market on daily basis.
Researchers at the university of Glasgow in Scotland have invented Smartwatch and fitness tracker that is powered by sweat to replace traditional batteries in device.
The Institute of Engineering and Technology department of the university of Glasgow reported that, the Smartwatch named Garnuin Fenix 6 has a solar-powered variant and works by collecting the sweat you naturally produce, and causing the ions in it to react to polymers resulting in a reaction which creates electricity.
The tech was tested by strapping a small version of the cell to runners and having them exercise. After the testing, the researchers observed that, the cell powered a load of LED, showing that it works and would theoretically work on a larger scale too. However, results from the experiment made them conclude that, although the sweat powered tech works, it doesn't seem like it generates enough power to allow you to completely forgo charging your wearable device in a traditional way.
According to the reporter, though the product is expected to revolutionize the market and be hugely useful for our day-to-day use. It is also expected to be the best cheap fitness tracker and Smartwatch.
