5 things to know about the Delta Variant.

The world was diving smoothly into a virus free system until recently, we heard about a new type of virus called the Delta Variant.

Delta is a highly contagious SARS-coV-2 virus strain, which was first identified in India in December.

Many countries like the great Britain and America were also infected with the virus. And we have also started recording cases in Ghana; example is the Achimota school cases.

Let's all take note of the following points, as it will help us protect ourselves from the Delta Variant.

1. Delta is more contagious than the other virus strains.

2. Delta could lead to 'hyperlocal outbreak'.

3. Unvaccinated people are at risk.

4. There are more to be discovered about the Delta Variant.

5. Vaccination is the best option.

Information gathered so far is that, anyone vaccinated against the coronavirus is safe.

But unvaccinated people who are not observing all the COVID-19 safety precautions are at high risk of contracting the the Delta Variant.
