It's been more than a year since Ghana recorded its initial cases of the coronavirus. The president together with his management team put all measures in place to protect the lives of the citizens against the deadly pandemic.
The "Elders of Mamprusi" have recognized the efforts which were made by the government especially President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo and have thus showered praise on the president. On behalf of the elders, the spokesperson showered praise on the President Akuffo-Addo for his immense contributions and steps he has taken to handle the coronavirus pandemic which hit the country months ago.
The statement was made by Gbang Raana of Bawku who spoke on behalf of the "Elders of Mamprusi" when the president paid a visit to the palace of Naa Zangbeo as part of his tour in the Upper East Region.
Gbang Raana on behalf of the elders, said that the country is very lucky to have President Akuffo-Addo as its Head of State during a period such as this. He emphasized that it is hence no wonder that the president was singled out of the many and praised globally for the steps he took together with his team to combat the virus.
He said that the "Elders of Mamprusi" appreciate the free water and electricity policy that was implemented by the government during the early stages of the coronavirus in the country.
Gbang Raana also talked about the various developmental projects that have been completed under the president's administration. He made mention of the Bulga-Bawku-Pulimakrom road which has reduced the hours that was earlier used when using that road. Gbang Raana commended the President for the various flagship programmes launched under his administration which has benefited a large number of citizens in the countey. He also made a call on the president to specifically build a Community Day School and a Government District Hospital within the catchment area to reduce the pressure on educational and health facilities within the catchment area.
President Akuffo-Addo thanked the "Elders of Mamprusi" for their immense and continuous support for him. The president also assured the elders that he is committed to tackling all challenges emphasizing that the demands of the elders have all been captured in government's Agenda 111 Programme.
