Am quite convinced with the coronavirus testing exercise ongoing in the country.
Mr. Agyeman Manu who is the minister designated for Health, faced the panel this morning. The vetting took about 5 hours, which included a 5 mins break.
Some things that came up from the vetting are as follows:
The minister designated upon drilling by the panel gave these outcomes;
1.1 He said that the PPEs to the educational sector delayed because the sector didn't report to the ministry of health earlier or was late in the submission of their request.
1. 2 Better still the ministry has recently provided some PPEs to all district educational offices.
1. 3 He urged parents to assist the ministry in its fight against the coronavirus by doing all they could for their wards to be safe.
2.0 He also said that the Government has plans for the mentally limited persons under the NHIS.
3.0 Also, he saids that the Government has plans for establishing a centre for disease control by the end of 2021.
4.1 He said also that there is coming in March this year a 355,000 coronavirus vaccine from Europe.
4. 2 He also established the fact that the 355,000 vaccines are to cover for 20 million Ghanaian.
4. 3 He made it known that Government is going to use drones for the vaccination exercise.
5.0 He said again that he is quite convinced with the coronavirus testing exercise ongoing in the country.
Just after the vetting of the minister designated for Health, he was approached by one representative from the Joy News multimedia, but the minister refrain from saying anything issuing that it is for personal concern.
Another information that was received was that, no media representative would be allowed from tomorrow at the premises except the GBC.
