Do You Know "Alapiiwa" Is Very Important To One's Health?

" Face the wall" (Kokonte) is a food eaten by all people across Ghana, but mostly eaten by Northerners, some sections of the Bono, Ahafo, Volta region, Greater Accra and almost every tribe within the country. It is also a staple food of some other countries within the West African regions, like, Nigeria, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, etc. Some people called it " alapeewa" . Eating Konkonte in sunny days makes you sweat heavily. Despite that, it has got some good health benefits which I willl like to share in the essay below;

One major benefit of " Kokonte" is that, it helps the digestive system (tract) for better digestion of food. That is it improves upon the digestion processes in humans.

Again, it helps in cleansing the body by doing away with all sorts of bad metabolism within the body. Basically, it helps in detoxification of the body.

Another benefit is that, it provides the body with natural vitamin B and C for the body, for an optimum performance of the body. It helps in improving one' s vision or sight.

Konkonte helps to treat stomach disorders, such as stomach ache. That is helps in preventing unnecessary stomach related problems or aches which are common in humans.

kokonte" cures prostate disorders, regulate blood sugar, it is a good immune booster, cures digestive disorders, helps the heart, act as an Antibiotics, controls obesity, burns fat, helps diabetic patients, also good for asthmatic patients, and finally, regulates the menstrual cycle in women.

In summation, kokonte is a food that is good for everyone and I encourage everyone to eat it, most especially women. This is because, the food helps them from contracting and preventing certain infections in their womanhood, such as odour and healing of wounds after giving birth.

The positive effect of Konkonte is felt the most, when it is combined with groundnut soup.
