The Chief Executive Officer of the Nations Builders Corps has made a donation of GhC 10,000 to a kidney failure patient named Minata Billey to undergo dialysis treatment. The intervention made through Dr. Ibrahim Imoro Barhama Anyars' Repairer Foundation was in response to an appeal made by Chief Akilu Sayibu, Founder of the Voiceless Media Consult and long time - friend of the CEO.
Cost of Dialysis sessions for patients with kidney diseases is not absorbed by the National Health Insurance Scheme and so patients usually have to bear the brunt of their ailments and then having to cough up around GhC 900 each week to undergo three sessions. Dr. Barhama's gesture will foot the bills for Mrs. Aminata Billey who is a teacher for another three months. Speaking as he presented a cheque to Chief Akilu, Dr Barhama, extolled the kindness of his old friend for taking it upon himself to seek funds for the patient. He said the Repairer Foundation was deeply touched after hearing the patient’s circumstance and immediately moved to arrange funds to help.
On his part, Chief Akilu Sayibu, expressed gratitude to the gesture as he called on members of the society to follow the example of the CEO and to give not because they have in excess but because people were in dire need. Pastor Ransford Larbi, a man of God who witnessed the donation and obviously impressed, prayed that success follows Dr. Barhama in his every endeavor.
