Health Ministry Launches National Food Safety Policy.

The Health Ministry collaboration with Food and Drugs Authority has launched National Food Safety Policy.

Health Minister, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman Manu together with other stakeholders ensured good measures to preserved food

Hon. Manu said, "The foods that we eat must be clean and preserve well in order not bring disease or problems to our health, this day has been established to celebrate as " National Food Safety Day".

He mentioned that, because we farm, harvest, sells and buy food that we eat, the policy is to ensure good hygiene of what we take into our body as food. How to prepare the food or cook also matters alot to prevent disease.

Ministry therefore has put all these measures into place that no contaminated food Is eaten. This policy also has passed through process and parliament has also endorsed as well.

He therefore, urged Ghanaians to marked the policy as a safer food, Better health.
