The member of parliament for North Tongu constituency in the Volta Region, Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has put smile on faces of old men and women in his constituency today. The member of parliament has stated that he is going to offer free healthcare for local pensioners in his constituency after a successful meeting with them on Sunday, 12th September, 2021.
Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa in his message sent to Ghanaians explained that although the National health Insurance Scheme is perfectly working, he is offering free healthcare for association called local pensioners association. According to him, the type of free healthcare he is going to offer the local Pensioners are health condition not covered by NHIS.
"Had a very fulfilling meeting this afternoon with executives of the Local Pensioners’ Association of my beloved constituency.
We discussed a new MP’s initiative which would ensure that all members of their association receive free medical attention for health conditions not covered under the health insurance scheme starting immediately. I am informed this has been the most important concern of most members" Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said.
"I also communicated my support towards the construction of the first ever North Tongu constituency pensioners’ office complex and social hall.
It gives me great honour to collaborate with our senior citizens whose toil and sacrifices have brought our nation this far.
