U/W: Pregnant Women Left to their Faith in Wa East

Residents of Bulenge in the Wa-East District of the Upper West Region say inadequate beds at the only health facility, serving a cluster of villages in the Bulenga electoral area is seriously affecting the quality of healthcare delivery in the Bulenga Electoral area. Speaking on the issue, Madam Majeed Aminata, says the inadequate beds situation at the Bulenga health facility is exacting a very painful effect. She said the worse affected in this unfortunate situation is pregnant women when they go to deliver.

A unit committee member, Mr. Dangare Yahaya, couldn’t agree less with Madam Majeed Aminata. He says the Bulenga health center is serving a cluster of communities in the Bulenga electoral area but seriously lack beds, this he says is exacting a toll in their lives.

Mr. Halitu, another opinion leader, in a separate interview, also again raised the issue of the healthcare center in Bulenga.

The District Chief Executive, Mr. Moses Jotie has also been called upon to assist in getting the issue addressed.
