Updates From The President: Wearing Of Nose Masks is No Longer Compulsory and other Bans Lifted…

The president of Ghana, Nana Akuffo Addo addressed the nation on Sunday, March 27 2022 purposely giving updates on measures taking to tackle COVID-19.

In his address, the president made it known to the public that all land and borders restrictions that were strictly enforced at these checkpoints have been lifted. This And some other topics did he mention:

1.From Monday 28th March, the wearing of face masks is no longer mandatory. Places such as workshops, private parties, churches, mosques and conferences may resume at full capacity as long as the participants are fully vaccinated.

2.Fully vaccinated travelers into Ghana will not take PCR tests from the country of embarkation to allow them entry into Ghana and will not be tested on arrival.

3.One Hundred and Sixty thousand, nine hundred and thirty two (160,932) people tested positive from the 2.4 million tests conducted, for corona virus. Also, one hundred thousand and forty five(1,445) people sadly passed away as a results of the virus.

4.As at Friday, 25th March 2022, the total number of active cases stood at seventy two (72). There are no severely or critically ill persons. Our COVID-19 centers are empty and the 4th wave appears to be over.
