As a measure to curb the spread and effect of the coronavirus pandemic on the nation some years ago was the introduction of the Agenda 111 hospitals across the country to increase the dissemination of rapid and quality healthcare amidst the pandemic.
Already, funds have been released for the commencement of the Agenda 111 hospitals projects for which it was also captured in the financial minister’s expenditure breakdown which had an allocation of about 700 million cedis.
Reporting from TV3 via their official twitter page is a discussion on one of their top talk shows with the Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Vincent Ekow Assafuah who made some revelations about the above projects during the show. He revealed boldly that “ a number of the hospitals have reached lentil and roofing point” after being asked. He further said when asked to mention the areas where the project has reached roofing level that “It can’t also be that two years down the line nothing has been done about.”
Again, He further said when asked a follow up question to mention the areas where the project has reached roofing level that “It can’t also be that two years down the line nothing has been done about establishing the 111 hospitals.”
His two replies have left many marveled as it shows clearly that, he has no idea about the hospitals yet to be established yet still gave false information. Below are some of the reactions of some citizens I gathered:
